Squeeze and The English Beat played the Ogden in Denver on Sunday, July 25th to a packed house. It was a flashback to the 80's-when my generation was a lot more carefree. Now, more than 20 years after I wore out my Squeeze "Singles" tape and got rid of my mohawk, I was not only able to take pics of two of my favorite bands of that decade, but I was able to sing along and be brought back to the optimism of that time. It was somewhat surreal to be amongst all of the now seemingly, soccer moms and business men who most likely used to sport Doc Marten's and skank with the best of 'em. Times have changed for these fans and for the bands themselves, now with just a couple extra lines on their faces, but one thing is for sure-the sounds of both defined an era and lines on our faces or not-the sounds will live on forever!
